Aurelis started in 2023 in a workshop outside Rotterdam, with a conviction and a waiting list of one. The conviction: the pop-top camper — perfected over sixty years on combustion vans — was about to be reinvented by the electric platform, and nobody was building for it properly. Retrofitting diesel-era furniture into an EV wastes everything the platform offers.
So we waited for the right base vehicle. The Kia PV5 Cargo gave us what no combustion van could: a completely flat floor, a 71.2 kWh battery that doubles as camp infrastructure, vehicle-to-load power built in, and a 7-year factory warranty that survives conversion.
Every Aurelis One is converted in-house — furniture CNC-cut from poplar ply and recycled aluminium, wired into the vehicle's own high-voltage system in partnership with Kia-certified engineers. We build slowly, in reservation order, and we'd rather cap production than compromise the build.
Every system — heating, cooling, cooking, lighting — is designed around the high-voltage platform. No gas, no diesel heater, no generator, ever.
Our conversion is engineered and certified so the Kia 7-year/150,000 km factory warranty remains fully intact. Your camper is serviceable at any Kia dealer.
